A HAIR expert has revealed that people have been using conditioner all wrong.

Trichologist Taylor Rose warned that not using your hair conditioner properly could result in hair loss…before pointing out that people always make the same common mistake.


"Conditioners are supposed to hydrate your hair to keep it healthy, shiny and long," she says, in a clip shared to her TikTok @thehealthyhur.

"But what about your scalp?"

The hair whizz goes on to say that conditioners don't moisturise your scalp the same way they do your hair.

She continues: "They can actually build up on your scalp, resulting in an unhealthy scalp environment that can cause to hair loss and dandruff.

"So while hair conditioners actually do a great job moisturising dry ends, they can wreak havoc on your scalp and should be applied only form the mid lengths of your hair to the ends."

Taylor Rose captioned the post: "Avoid this common conditioning mistake to avoid unnecessary hair loss."
