WWE's Charlotte Flair reacts to husband Andrade El Idolo's win after sweet nod

Charlotte Flair is overjoyed after seeing her husband Andrade El Idolo back in a wrestling ring this weekend.

The WWE superstar, who married the All Elite Wrestling star in May 2022, paid a very sweet tribute to her man after he beat Buddy Matthews in a fantastic match during Saturday night’s AEW Collision premiere.

The two stars delivered a special bout for the fans, and Andrade won the battle between the WWE alumni when he used his wife’s signature Figure 8 submission hold.

Responding to his nod in her direction, the 14-time world champion tweeted: ‘PAPI. One of the best in the world. That’s what happens when you get to SHINE ⭐️ @AndradeElIdolo #AEWCollision 👏 #TheRealLatinoMan 🔥🔥🔥’

He jokingly apologised to Charlotte for ‘using your finish’, and teased that it was a ‘very difficult’ move to use.

He tweeted: ‘Thank you very much for being an incredible wife and for all your support and sorry for using your finish 😬 but I wanted to dedicate figure 8 to you but you never told me that it was very difficult to do but it helps to win @MsCharlotteWWE #IMissYou #Mami (sic)’

The match with Buddy was Andrade’s first since September 2022 after a long spell out due to injury and apparent creative issues with AEW.

However, he made his comeback for Saturday’s huge show, which came as CM Punk also returned to the fold to kick start a new era for the company.

Following the bout, Andrade tweeted: ‘Thank you Chicago!!! #AEWCollision ANDRADE EL IDOLO IS BACK @AEWonTV @AEW’

Meanwhile, his opponent Buddy has also made headlines after his girlfriend Rhea Ripley responded to someone mocking him over her current on-screen romance with Dominik Mysterio, with a sign that read: ‘Hey Buddy, ain’t it funny how Dommy stole ur Momy (sic)’

She coolly replied: ‘I find it funnier that this guy obviously watches the product but still doesn’t know how to spell ✨MAMI ✨’
