McDonald’s Monopoly prizes revealed including £100k cash and 'gold cards' | The Sun

THE McDonald's Monopoly game is coming back and its top prizes have been revealed.

The prize list for the fast food giant's 2023 competition has been unveiled, and it's full of goodies.

The fast food chain previously confirmed the popular game will be back for customers on September 6.

Among the top prizes this year is £100,000 in cash for four winners and there will be 2,000 "gold cards", which gives you free Maccies meal a week for a year

Lucky winners can also get their hands on an electric Mini, £2,000 for a TUI holiday.

It comes as the chain says that 165 prizes were won every single minute last year.

There will be 20 Minis up for grabs, while 85 Maccies fans will have the chance to nab the holiday cash.

Plus, 200 diners will be in with a chance to win a £80 Go Ape voucher.

That's on top of the popular "instant wins" which give Maccies customers hundreds of free food items, from Big Macs to McFlurrys.

We previously spoke to last year's winner of a £30k Mini after spending £1.39 on fries.

How does McDonald's Monopoly work?

Players who take part in Monopoly can collect stickers from their food packaging that represent train stations or colour co-ordinated road names – much like the classic game.

But not all menu items are worth the same amount, and this determines how you redeem a prize.

For example, instant win food prizes can be redeemed at any McDonald's branch by handing the token over at the counter when you order.

You'll need to hand the game pieces over to a member of staff when you collect your meal.

To find your nearest store, just search using the store locator on McDonald's website.

But if you've got a winning token or code, you may need to provide some of your personal details to be able to redeem it, such as your date of birth, email address and phone number.

You will then be asked to choose how you want to receive your winnings, which will be either via email or delivery.

There's also a chance you'll get an app play code to collect. This will be clear when you peel off the sticker.

You'll need to have the app to enter the code and see if you've won a prize.

It's free to download the app either from the Google Android or iPhone app stores.
