Generated by the number of hashtags each location has racked up on Instagram, plus Google and Tripadvisor reviews, the lower the overall index score, the higher the restaurant ranks.
Restaurants in London, Birmingham, Glasgow and Liverpool lead the way according to Betway’s research.

1. Double Zero Neapolitan Pizza, Manchester
Taking home the top prize is Double Zero Neapolitan Pizza, located in Manchester’s city centre. The restaurant, which follows the Neapolitan style of pizza making, topped the list with an overall index of four. A regular customer described the restaurant as “flawless pizza and amazing staff” in a review left on Tripadvisor.
2. Pizza Union Spitalfields, London
The Pizza Union branch located in Spitalfields, London, is the second best place to get your pizza in the UK with an index score of nine. The popular chain boasts gourmet pizzas cooked in three minutes.
3. Amore Ristorante e Pizzeria, Glasgow
This family owned and traditional restaurant has been a fixture of Glasgow since it opened its doors back in 2008. Amore Ristorante e Pizzeria is the third best pizza restaurant in the UK with a score of 10.

A Birmingham-based restaurant rounds off the top four with an index score of 12. Otto Pizza offers wood fired pizzas made from the best independent British and Italian ingredients.

A three-way tie for fifth place follows, with Casa Italia (Liverpool), Pizza Posto (Edinburgh), and Little Wing Pizzeria (Belfast) all receiving an index score of 13.
Casa Italia has been serving the people of Liverpool delicious pizza for almost 50 years, Pizza Posto offers authentic Neapolitan style pizza in the centre of Edinburgh, and Little Wing Pizzeria is part of a local chain selling tasty stone-baked pizza options.
7. Pizza Pilgrims, London
Completing the top eight pizza restaurants in the UK is Pizza Pilgrims in London with an index score of 14. With 19 locations in London alone, this trendy chain of pizzerias is a hit with locals and visitors alike.
