A woman has been arrested after trespassing outside Taylor Swift’s home.
A 54-year-old individual was detained at the US star’s sprawling Rhode Island mansion, where the singer has been enjoying a break in between tour shows.
Images obtained by TMZ show a woman in handcuffs at the gates, where signs reading, ‘Private property’ and ‘No trespassing’ are displayed.
Westerly Police Department Chief Paul Gingerella told the publication that they were called to the estate on Monday afternoon following reports of a trespasser.
It’s said the woman in question had already been warned previously to stay away from Taylor’s property.
According to court documents, the lady was charged with one misdemeanour count of trespassing.
She was released from custody, but she’s due back in court July 14.
It remains unknown who called the cops, but onlookers reportedly saw Taylor’s private security team ask her to leave, but she refused.
A source familiar with the situation also told TMZ that, while Taylor was enjoying a holiday weekend at her luxurious abode, it’s not clear whether she was actually home at the time of the incident.
Taylor, 33, gave her fans a glimpse inside her Fourth of July celebrations earlier today with a series of joyous polaroid snaps shared to social media.
Posing alongside friends – including longtime bestie Selena Gomez and the Haim sisters – Taylor couldn’t have looked happier.
Frolicking in the sun in a bikini, dancing around the kitchen, and eating ice lollies, honestly, we’re jealous we didn’t get an invite.
And, as ever with Taylor, the caption she penned seemed to have a double meaning.
Writing on Twitter following recent rumours surrounding her love life, she said: ‘Happy belated Independence Day from your local neighbourhood independent girlies 😎’
Ahead of picking her Eras Tour back up, she added to excitable Swifties: ‘See you tonight Kansas Cityyy’.
Also suggesting Ms Swift is more than happy being a free, independent woman, Haim re-posted the images with the caption: ‘single summer’, following speculation of Taylor rekindling her fling with The 1975’s Matty Healy.
Talk about a hot girl summer!
Meanwhile, Swifties back in the UK are sweating for a very different reason – because it’s almost ticket sale time.
After adding 14 more dates to the European leg of her Eras Tour, the Shake It Off hitmaker’s fans are set to go to war next week in the hopes of securing a spot at one of her shows in 2024.
Presale has currently only been awarded to people who pre-ordered Taylor’s latest album Midnights, with access codes already sent out.
As for the general sale folk, keep an eye on your emails (and spam folder!) if you haven’t already received the deets.
Only a limited, randomly selected number of registrants will have the opportunity to access the ticket sale later this month, and everyone else will be placed on the waiting list.
If you’re a lucky one, you will get an access code via email to either Ticketmaster or AXS, and this will allow you the opportunity to access ticket sales for the specific city you’re registered to.
Tickets are also on sale on different dates at different times, depending on the shows you’re trying for.
You should receive the email informing you of your fate by Friday, July 14.
