New Balance 990v1 Gets Outfitted With a Fall-Friendly Palette

Thanks to the brilliant mind of Teddy Santis, the energy behind New Balance and its lifestyle footwear category has only gotten stronger. The brand’s newly appointed creative director has lent his input into the MADE in USA’s 990 series by cooking up a vast array of new colorways, and the latest to be unveiled is this fall-inspired 990v1.

Since the upcoming season that favors muted, drab hues, this latest iteration comes engineered with an earthy ensemble. Standing out across the upper is a warm brown tone, and this engulfs the overlays that land on the heels, mid-foot and toe tips. These come broken up by off-white panels which are seen on the toe boxes, tongues, collars and lower heel molds, while the heightened parts of the heel are doused with a soft beige. Pops of red also get ushered in atop the tongue’s New Balance branding and the backdrops of the insoles.

A release date is still unknown, but New Balance will likely roll this pair out during Fall/Winter 2022 for the usual $190 USD price point.
