Anton du Beke and Giovanni Pernice perform in wigs and dresses
Strictly Come Dancing co-stars Anton du Beke and Giovanni Pernice were unrecognisable this week as they donned mini dresses, heels and wigs on stage.
The judge-dancer duo, who are 57 and 32 respectively, performed last night at London’s Theatre Royal on Drury Lane, and fellow Strictly star Katya Jones was keen to feature highlights of the action on her Instagram Stories.
The 34-year-old selected the pair’s hilarious vocal rendition of the song Sisters by Rosemary Clooney, in which they sang about sharing their clothes, and quizzed her 215,000 followers: “Favourite part of the show?”
She also shared footage of Anton’s twins – daughter Henrietta and son George, six – giving their famous dad a standing ovation during the show.
The performer captioned the short video clip: “When your dad is an icon that is @mrantondubeke”, adding: “#1 fans. Unconditionally.”

Meanwhile, the professional chemistry Giovanni shares with Anton, whom he has described as his “best friend”, seems to be hugely entertaining audiences.
The show returns on Friday in Milton Keynes, and will then head to Birmingham, before culminating on Sunday with a final show of the year at Southend’s Cliffs Pavilion.
Earlier this year, Giovanni shared during a guest episode on Saturday Kitchen exactly why the pair have become so close, divulging that he sees his older mentor as a “godfather figure”.

On their BBC show Anton and Giovanni’s Adventures in Sicily, the latter introduced the former to his birth country and they explored the local food and culture together.
Giovanni explained why his pal was the obvious companion, insisting: “Genuinely, he’s one of my best, if not my best friend.
“We’ve received so many messages about the show and the thing everybody says is that it’s true friendship. It’s not one of those things you have to put on for TV.”
He added affectionately: “When I arrived in this country eight years ago, he was the only person who really looked after me.”
Giovanni also divulged that the concept for the show first came up on a day when they were performing a theatre show together and had a “genuine” good time.
He’s also had many great moments on TV together with him, including when Anton was able to crown his friend 2021 Strictly winner, along with his celeb partner Rose Ayling-Ellis.
Giovanni once even broke a record for receiving the most ’10’ scores of any professional dancer ever to appear on the show, with an impressive total of 98.
The Him and Me tour continues right up to the end of the week, with tickets still available for Birmingham and Southend.
