Emma Willis and her husband Matt are parents to Isabelle, 11, Ace, nine, and Trixie, four. Following the birth of their third child, the father-of-three did the school run and has now admitted that he forgot about his newborn baby and left her sleeping in the car while he dropped the others off.

The Busted star said thankfully everything was “fine” but he knew he was going to be in “deep, deep trouble” for the parenting fail.

He couldn’t keep it a secret and told his The Voice UK host wife about the incident straight away.

The musician recalled the mishap when asked about his most embarrassing parenting moment.

He told Ben Hanlin on his new podcast Ben Behaving Dadly that it was a situation that made him go: “Oh s**t.”

“I can tell you the one moment that made me go ‘oh s***’,” Matt told fellow dad Ben.

“So I couldn’t find a place to park, school parking ugh! So I parked the car.

“Got the kids out, had to drop them off. Dropped the first one off, dropped the second one off.

“I’m dropping the second child off, I’m talking to another parent. Suddenly, I thought to myself… this is nice.

“I’m talking to this parent, and I had had this overwhelming feeling. A different feeling I hadn’t felt for a while, which felt stress free,” he continued.

It didn’t take long for Matt to realise what he had done and so he rushed back to check on the newborn.

He went on to say: “I had left Trixie in the car the entire time.

“A five-week-old baby in the f***ing car seat on her own.

“I mean I legged it,” he said, adding: “So literally I was in the middle of a conversation with these two parents, and I ran.

“I don’t think I’ve even explained to them why I’ve gone ‘Oh my God’ and ran off,” Matt remembered.

“But then I ran back, checked, she was still asleep and everything was fine.”

“I wanted, believe me I wanted to keep that one a secret. That was one of those ones where I was like, I am in deep, deep trouble for this.

“But I couldn’t. As soon as Emma came back from work, I went, ‘I’ve got something to tell you. I did something today.'”

Earlier this week, the mum-of-three shared a rare picture of her children to mark Mother’s Day.

Emma could be seen receiving kisses and cuddles from her offspring in the adorable snap.

Her youngest child embraced her mum and sat on her lap, while her eldest children planted a kiss on her cheeks.

“No place I’d rather be…” she told her 1.7 million Instagram followers.
