TUI has cancelled more holidays due to the ongoing travel restrictions, including to Turkey and Egypt.
The cancellations come ahead of the next green list announcement, expected this Thursday.
Holidays to Turkey are now cancelled until September 30, while long-haul holidays to destinations including Mexico, Egypt, the Maldives and Thailand are cancelled until next month.
Here is the full list of cancellations from the tour operator:
Up to and including 30th September:
- Turkey
Up to and including 9th October:
- Aruba
- Cape Verde (Sal)
- Costa Rica
- Cuba
- Dominican Republic
- Egypt (Marsa Alam and Sharm El Sheikh)
- Florida
- Jamaica
- Mexico
- Non-TUI flight holidays – Canada, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, UAE (Abu Dhabi) and USA
Up to and including 31st October:
- Austria, Italy and Slovenia (TUI Lakes and Mountains including non-TUI flights)
- Bulgaria (Varna and Bourgas)
- Italy (Calabria, Sardinia and Sicily)
- Mainland Spain (Almeria and Girona)
- Malta (except non-TUI flights) and Montenegro
- Thailand
- Turkey with non-TUI flights
Holidays are still operating to a number of green list destinations which includes most of Croatia and Madeira, as well as holidays with non-TUI flights such as Malta, Iceland, Gibraltar and Barbados.
Amber list destinations such as the Spanish and Greek islands are also still in operation, along with Cyprus and Portugal.
TUI will not fly to any red-list destinations.
TUI explained on their website: "We won’t take any customers to red destinations or those which require quarantine on arrival, unless this can be foregone by a Covid test.
"If we need to cancel holidays because of updated Government guidance, or after reviewing our holiday programme, we will contact customers and aim to give at least seven days advance notice."
Holidaymakers can request a full cash refund, or change their holiday to a different date or location with a booking incentive if their holiday is affected.
The traffic light scheme could be scrapped next month, with no more green or amber lists, while vaxxed Brits may be able to skip the required PCR tests.
