THE sun continues to shine here in England, and Brits are getting set for a long hot summer – perfect for staycations.

June has been a scorcher so far, with some parts of the UK being hotter than Ibiza, Mykonos and even California on certain days.

According to long-range forecasts, we might even be in for a second heatwave at the end of the month.

The latest charts show hot temperatures are set to continue, following a cold spell later this week, with another heatwave marked for the end of June.

WXCharts predict that on June 27, London will be searing as temperatures hit 30C (86F).

BBC Weather’s long-range charts show there is a 25 percent chance “high pressure stays overhead or slightly east of us well into July”.

With this in mind, we've found the best deals on seaside breaks this summer, so sunseekers can flock to the beach to make the most of the good weather.

Beach destinations are set to be even more popular than usual as many Brits opt to stay in the UK rather than go abroad this summer.

Some areas are set to be packed with Brits this year, including Cornwall, where some people were even put onto waiting lists for self-catering properties due to its popularity.

As well as hotels now being open, groups of up to six people from different households or unlimited numbers of people from two households can share a holiday let together.

The proposed date for when holidays will resume with no restrictions in England has been pushed back to at least July 19 due to the rise of the new Indian Covid variant.
