The heat doesn’t mix well with sweat, suncream and long hair, so look to Sam Faiers for inspiration on staying chic and practical in the sun.
The former TOWIE star looks stunning in new Instagram snaps which show her updo in all its glory.
The series of images, taken and posted by her hairstylist Carl Bembridge, show Sam wearing her shiny bronde hair up in a twisted bun, with the chic knot detail visible at the back of her head.
Sam has kept a section of her fringe out in a deep side part, but the style would also look great with it all pulled back (remember, fringe + sweat = not your friend).
“To create the look, I put the hair into a ponytail and then rope twisted two sections,” Carl tells us. “I secured that with an elastic, then wrapped that twist around the base of the ponytail, securing it in place with a bobby pin.”

For the shine and hold, Carl says he prepped the hair using Color Wow Pop & Lock Gloss Treatment, £19 here, and finished the look with a spritz of ghd Final Shine Spray, £15 here.

Sam has been giving us some other great hairstyle ideas for summer as of late, with plenty of updos and half-updos that are perfect for summer and social events. Just a few days ago, the 30 year old shared a snap of herself sporting a very on-trend Ariana Grande style ponytail.
“Oh hi super glam mumma,” she captioned the image, tagging in her hairstylist Willis Galbraith – who calls the look a “bouncy snatch”.
Sam made headlines this week after announcing she’s set to step back from The Mummy Diaries, after starring in the ITVBe series with her sister Billie Shepherd for nine series.
"To my wonderful followers and supporters of The Mummy Diaries over the past 7 years, for many months of consideration, I've decided that now feels like the right time to step away and to focus on new adventures,” she told her Instagram followers.
Since we sadly won’t be getting hair inspo from Sam on the show anymore, we’ll be keeping an eye out on her ‘gram for updates on her look.
