Six months ago, Claws actress Niecy Nash announced her secret marriage to her lover, Jessica Bets. Among the onslaught of support from elites, the entertainment talk show legend, Oprah Winfrey, sent a rather fabulous and thoughtful wedding surprise: a beautiful cashmere blanket.
After marriages between two husbands came and went from the comedian’s life – one of with ending last March – fans were surprised when news of Nash tying the knot to her self-proclaimed “hersband” came out.

“I love who I love. At one point in my life, I married twice and I love those people. And today I love this person,” Nash exclaims in a September issue of People,”[My marriage] has absolutely nothing to do with gender and it has everything to do with her soul.
Winfrey, a consummate supporter of her pals, gifted Nash with a huge blanket made of cashmere. The newlywed discussed the beautiful gesture on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“It’s, like, jumbo. So we wrap up in it in the movie room all the time.”
While pictures of the blanket have yet to be revealed, there’s no doubt that it’s beyond luxurious – a perfect gift for a new couple.
When asked by a viewer, “Who was the biggest diva you’ve ever worked it?” Nash gracefully replied, “I would have to say, Oprah. I love that there’s so much attention to derail when she works. She’s meticulously and everything is going to be just so.”
Over the years, Nash has been quite public when it came to Oprah’s unwavering support of her. From showering her Twitter feed with the praises of Nash’s performance in Class to filling partying it up after shooting the box office hit Selma, these two have a relationship that truly admirable.
Nash and Bet began as friends when they connected through Instagram in 2015, when the comedian was still married to Marshall Tucker. Though the two grew a much stronger bond after Nash and Tuckers’ marriage ended.
“Jessica and I were friends, but I never saw her as someone I would date,” she tells People, “But we began to see each other in a way we never had before. I learned that you should always hold space for magic because it can happen at any time.”
