Inside Phillip Schofield’s family life including 30 year marriage and kids

Phillip Schofield took on This Morning presenting duties alongside Holly Willoughby back in 2009 and has been a household name ever since.

In February 2020, the 60 year old presenter revealed he is gay and detailed the struggles he has been facing as a result of his “inner conflict.”

The television presenter, who sits alongside Holly on popular ITV show This Morning, shared an emotional post with his two million Instagram followers, saying that his wife and daughters have been supporting him throughout the process, “despite their own confusion.”

He then took to the This Morning sofa to pay tribute to his friends and family, who have been incredibly supportive of his decision to announce the news.

Phillip has been married to his wife Stephanie Lowe since 1993, and the pair share two daughters, Ruby and Molly.

Here’s a look inside the star’s family life…

Phillip's wife

Phillip married wife Stephanie, 58, in 1993, and the pair have remained married for 30 years.

Together, they live in Henley-on-Thames and Philip once told Christine Lampard how they met, during an interview on Lorraine.

He said: “She worked in television years ago, that was how we met, so she can do it [television], she just doesn't want to these days."

Together, the pair lived in a stunning home, and Phillip would often post pictures to Instagram showing off their stylish interiors and amazing garden.

However, he has since moved out and into his own £2m west London bachelor pad.

Phillip has credited his wife as having provided “strength and support” during the process of him coming out.

He said: “This is something that has caused many heart-breaking conversations at home. I have been married to Steph for nearly 27 years, and we have two beautiful grown-up daughters, Molly and Ruby.

“My family have held me so close; they have tried to cheer me up, to smother me with kindness and love, despite their own confusion. Yet still I can’t sleep and there have been some very dark moments.”

The couple have remained close despite Phillip coming out as gay.

Talking to The Mirror, Phil previously explained that he and Steph have no plans to divorce.

Discussing their relationship Phil said: “We’re picking our way through. It’s a work in progress."

Adding: “I’m still married to Steph. With divorce… we’ve not discussed that at all.”

In his autobiography Life’s What You Make It, Phil stated: "I didn’t know I was gay when I married Steph. If I had, I wouldn’t have got married."

Phillip's daughters

Phillip’s eldest daughter is 29, and named Molly.

Molly has accumulated 44,000 followers on Instagram and pens in her bio: “I intend to live forever. So far, so good.”

The beautiful blonde, whose middle name is May, works as an assistant talent manager at James Grant Group media.

Philip’s youngest daughter is named Ruby, 27; a recent university graduate who attended Leeds and achieved a 2:1 degree.

Ruby is known for her love of attending festivals, and regularly posts pictures of her family on Instagram.

She has an impressive following on Instagram of 59,000 and wows with her forward-thinking fashion and outfits which she shares with her fans.

In Phillip's candid confession, Holly made the statement that telling his daughter's he was gay couldn't have been easy, to which Phillip replied: "They are so amazing in their love and support. I sat them down and I told them and they jumped up and they gave me a hug. A big hug. A long hug. And then they hugged Steph and they said it's OK."

Phillip added: "We'll always be a family."
