Deep cleaning
However, for more stubborn stains and burns, you may need to use more cleaning hacks.
To remove stubborn stains you should gather the following items:
- Water
- Baking soda
- Towels
- Vinegar
- A spray bottle
You should begin the process of cleaning your glass stovetop by creating a paste with baking soda and water using a 3:1 ratio.
Mix these materials together until the mixture thickens.
Then spread the mixture evenly on your stovetop using gloves, a spatula or even a brush.
You should try to add more paste to areas with stubborn stains or burnt food.

Next, fill a bottle with white vinegar and lightly spray the past on your glass oven top.
Once you have evenly covered the region, you should warm some towels by putting them under hot water.
Wring out the towels to remove any excess water before placing them on top of the stove.
Leave the towels in place for 30 minutes for the cleaning solution to work its magic.
After this time has elapsed return to your oven top and remove the towels.
Wipe down the glass surface using a circular motion to remove any lingering stubborn debris.
If the paste has hardened too much and you are finding it difficult to shift, simply spray more vinegar from your spray bottle onto the surface until the hardened paste fizzes.
Then you should be able to wipe it clean.
Continue spraying and wiping the paste on your glass oven top until it is completely clean.
You can finish the process by wiping down the glass stove top with a fresh towel.
For those hoping to keep their oven top shiny and clean, you should repeat this process once a week.
Using a razor blade
If you find this method ineffective, you can instead use a razor blade or scraper tool.
To use this method you should make sure your surface is clean before spritzing the stovetop to soften any residue on the top.
Gently scrape off the residue with a razor blade, being careful not to use the corners of the blade because you can damage the stovetop.
Wipe away the residue with a clean cloth and repeat the earlier steps if required.
