‘Bob’s Burgers’ character designer dies after skydiving accident

Dave Creek, lead character designer on “Bob’s Burgers,” has died after sustaining injuries in a skydiving accident, according to multiple reports.

Several of Creek’s colleagues, who worked alongside the talented artist on the Fox animated sitcom, confirmed he passed on Thursday and paid tributes online.

Director Simon Chong wrote, “Today we tragically lost our Lead Character designer and friend, Dave Creek. A wonderfully brilliant and talented man who I can guarantee designed your favourite character on Bob’s at some point. I’ll miss you, buddy x”

Writer Wendy Molyneux tweeted, “If you love Bob’s Burgers, you loved Dave Creek. He was an adventurous funny outgoing amazing artist and one of the most incredible, interesting people I ever met. I often thought that Dave really knew how to live, and I wish he got to live some more. Rest In Peace, buddy.”

According to IMDb, Creek is credited with working as the lead character designer on “Bob’s Burgers” since its inception in 2011 until 2014. He also worked on Fox’s latest animated adult sitcom, “Central Park.”

Creek’s Instagram showed that he was an avid skydiver, posting a video of one of his most recent dives on Dec. 28 from 5,000 feet.
