Urgent ‘do not eat’ alerts for Morrisons and Asda shoppers

Morrisons

Morrisons has recalled Morrisons Market Street 18 Caramel Crispy Bites as they pose a “possible health risk” to customers.

The Food Standards Agency (FDA) notes the sweet treat may contain traces of egg, which is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product could be risky for anybody who has an egg allergy or intolerance.

All batches of Morrisons Market Street 18 Caramel Crispy Bites that have a best-before date up to December 12 are affected.

Customers who have bought the product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg have been told by the retailer: “Do not eat it.”

Asda

Another frequently visited supermarket, Asda, has also put out a food recall for The Bakery at Asda 20 Chocolate Caramel Mini Crisp Bites.

These have also been recalled because of an undeclared ingredient on the label.
