McVitie’s, known for its famous biscuits, has unveiled its new and exciting Jaffa Jonut. The delicious treat offers an exciting twist on the popular Jaffa Cake and will be launching on May 16.

The Jaffa Jonut is a cross between a Jaffa Cake and doughnut, with a dark chocolate coating packed with a tangy orange filling.

It adds to the ever-growing line of Jaffa products, alongside Orange, Pineapple, Cherry and Passion Fruit flavours.

The snack will be available in sharing boxes of four or on its own in a single pack.

The Jonut will be available for 60p if bought on its own or £1.99 for the four-pack.

McVitie’s has also said the packing will be recyclable.

Emma Stowers, Brand Director for McVitie’s at pladis UK&I, said: “We love hearing Jaffanatics debate about our Jaffa Cakes, and the launch of our Jaffa Jonuts is sure to spark further conversation!

“We’re excited to offer a new twist to our fans, as the fusion between Jaffa Cakes and doughnuts brings an exciting and original taste experience to those who love a treat.”

The sweet treats will be available to pick up in Tesco from May 16 and other retailers from the end of June.
