Enjoy bottomless sandwiches tonight at this London spot

The humble sandwich – at its best – is a thing of beauty.

Whether you prefer lashings of butter or it stuffed with crisps, there’s something for everyone.

If you’re a sarnie lover through and through then an event taking place tonight should be on your radar.

Independent coffee shop Trade is offering ‘bottomless sandwiches’ for two hours from 6pm.

Visitors to the Old Street or Essex Road sites can feast on unlimited sarnies for £20 – which is pretty cost-effective considering the shop’s gourmet sandwiches usually come in at a tenner each.

The bottomless promotion is to mark the launch of Trade’s new dinner menu and will be available today, for one night only.

What’s more, the menu covers all bases with reinvented classics and vegan options.

Meaty options include the Reuben, made with double pastrami, sauerkraut, and Trade sauce, as well as the Peanut Pork – featuring pork belly, hoisin dressing, peanut, cucumber, Trade sauce, lettuce and kimchi on a brioche bun.

There’s also the Cuban Club consisting of smoked turkey, ham, Swiss cheese, cranberry jam, Trade sauce and lettuce – all inside a brioche bun.

Whereas non-meat options include the Mushrooben, made with mushroom pastrami, saurkraut, vegan cheese and vegan Trade sauce, as well as the Halloumi Club with (you guessed it) grilled halloumi, smoked tomato chilli jam, lettuce, olive tapenade, tomato and avocado.

All these options form Trade’s wider dinner menu, which is also made up of seasonal, globally-inspired small plates – alongside a varied cocktail list.

Anyone thinking of attending later today should book in advance to secure a seat and it’s worth pointing out that diners can choose two sandwich fillings only for their bottomless experience.

Elsewhere in the world of food, Pizza Express has unveiled a five-course tasting menu for Christmas – as the chain is set to bring back some old favourites as well as introduce some new topping combinations.
