CAMPING in the UK can be chilly at the best of times, but that doesn’t bother one woman who has moved into a tent in Scotland full time.

TikTok user Bethan Lindsay did a tour around her bell tent, and explained how she keeps warm using her stove but can live rent-free.

In a video on her @yogicliving account, she wrote: “My name is Bethan and I live in a bell tent with my partner in the Scottish highlands.”

While many people would wait until warmer days in summer to sleep in a tent, Bethan moved into her “wee tent” in December and has been there a month.

She filmed the stunning natural landscape that surrounds her unusual home, and said: “This is what the land looks like that we are on.

“The trees help protect us from the wind.”

She added: “We’re in a sheltered spot thankfully, but very grateful for our wood burning stove.”

Bethan then showed her outdoor composting toilet and outdoor shower that she and her partner use whatever the weather.

They also have an outdoor sink, but their stove is located inside the tent with a chimney so fumes can escape.

Their rustic set-up means they can live rent-free, as the tent is located on their friend’s land.

She added: “Our dream is to build a wooden A frame eventually.

“We’re looking to buy and land here typically is 5k upwards.”

Many people were very split in their views on the tent, with some saying it looked like an “absolute dream.”

However, not everyone was convinced, with one writing: “Couldn't think of anything worse.”

Meanwhile, a couple shared how they live-rent free after doing up a van using YouTube vids – they save £19k a year.

One couple have saved £3.5k a MONTH by swapping their flat for a van, they shower outside & don’t have a proper loo but they love it.

And a man lives mortgage free after giving up a two-bed house for a static caravan.
