Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William stepped out this week for the ‘Together at Christmas’ carol concert, hosted by none other than the Duchess herself. Some 1,200 unsung Covid heroes were present at the Abbey to watch a variety of performances from the likes of Leona Lewis, Ellie Goulding and Jason Manford.

In a pamphlet for the service, Kate said: “We have lost loved ones, seen our frontline workers placed under immeasurable pressure, and we have experienced heart-wrenching isolation from those we hold most dear.

“Alongside this, we have seen how communities have come together to support those most in need.

“And through our separation from others, we have been reminded just how powerful human connection is to us all.

“Just how much we need one another. And how loving and feeling a sense of belonging to one another can provide comfort in tough times. The importance of simply being together.”

As always Kate’s outfit for the occasion caught the attention of the public, and she dressed head to toe in festive red.

Kate wore a stunning red coat dress with bow detail from Catherine Walker.

Kate’s dress was the same style as the black dress she wore for Prince Philip’s funeral back in April.

The Duchess also carried a red clutch bag and wore her hair in her signature blowout style.

She kept her jewellery minimal for the outing, except for a pair of dazzling earrings.

Kate wore the sapphire and diamond fringe earrings from the Queen’s personal collection, and the move can be seen as a touching tribute to her husband’s grandmother.

But Kate’s choice of earrings also paid tribute to the late Queen Mother as the earrings once belonged to her.

Kate has worn the beautiful Art Deco sparklers on a few previous occasions.

Kate’s outfits are always a source of interest to fashion fans, who often scramble to get Kate’s looks for their own wardrobes following the Duchess’ outings.

According to casino experts Casino Bee, online searches for ‘Red Coat’ skyrocketed 376 percent worldwide on December 9.

A spokesperson for Casino Bee said: “The Duchess of Cambridge is undoubtedly one of the most influential women on the planet when it comes to fashion and style and these findings only amplify that.

“It is a designers dream to have The Duchess of Cambridge wear one of their pieces as anything she is photographed wearing, instantly sells out.

“The Duchess has an extraordinary ability to match her wardrobe with the events she attends.

“The festive red colour compliments the tone of the carol service and emphasises the thought and care put into the Duchess of Cambridge’s outfits.

“The surge in interest for the pieces that the Duchess wears can be attributed to her timeless and elegant style.

“She is very aware of the power of fashion and how it can emphasise an event that she attends yet she never uses her outfits to overshadow anyone or any cause.”
