The understated Japanese label stein has just released its Spring/Summer 2022 lookbook of genderless apparel filled with minimal, loose silhouettes. Models stood against a cool-toned background to complement stein’s signature use of neutral colors – including olive green, gray, white, black, blue, and brown.
Standout pieces reflecting the subtle designs with unique constructions are the Reversible Padded Jacket with oversized patch pockets and drawstrings at the hem and the Reversible Padded Vest which can be worn over the long-sleeved jacket for a layering effect. Both pieces are double-sided, where the contrasting colors are slightly revealed at the neckline.
Other than tops like double-layered shirts and long trench coats, the series also offer bottom pieces with distinctive designs. Some highlights include the Gradation Pleats Two Tuck Trousers with woven lines to achieve a wrinkled visual, and the Reconstruction Wide Denim Jeans that combine a tapered shape with flared bottoms.
Parts of the collection have arrived at select retailers. Stay tuned for more on the SS22 collection on stein’s website.
