Red Star FC Recruits Lack of Guidance for '90s-Inspired 2022/23 Kits

Parisian football club Red Star FC has unveiled its kits for the 2022/23 season, working with Amsterdam-based label Lack of Guidance. The two kits take inspiration from classic ’90s kits, mixing a nostalgic influence with the CULTE ethos, taking its name from shared values of Red Star and Lack of Guidance: Character, Unity, Loyalty, Talent and Education.

The home shirt reinterprets Red Star’s traditional green, with two tonal halves on the jersey front and sleeves. The design is finished with Red Star’s crest, its LinkedOut sponsor and the white Kappa logo. The away shirt takes a different approach, arriving in a dark black and finished with royal blue detailing around the sleeves and trim. A small Lack of Guidance logo sits on the reverse of each shirt.

Launching the collaborative kits, Red Star FC explained the shared vision”

“Together with Akaar Amin and Rens Von Strien, Lack of Guidance’s founders, we head to the right address, the one that always combines soccer and culture. The journey is longer but the view is splendid. We drive at our own pace, taking our time on country roads.”

The Lack of Guidance-designed 2022/23 kits for Red Star FC are due to release via the brand’s web store in the near future.
