IISE's Alpha Industries FW21 Collaboration Honors Its Heritage

Adding to its lineup of standout collaborations, Seoul-based label IISE has now teamed up with Alpha Industries for a Fall/Winter 2021 range of military outerwear.

Honoring its Korean heritage, IISE’s collaboration features takes on the L-2B Scout Bomber Jacket and ALS (Alpha Liner System) Liner Jacket.

Both jackets are marked with blood chit details drawn from an actual notice actually carried by military personnel during the Korean War. Blood chit notices were addressed to civilians who may come across an armed-services member in difficulties and used to identify the force to which the bearer belongs to with a message requesting assistance.

The blood chit notice is rendered into a bandana to serve as a shoulder accent on the L-2B Scout Bomber Jacket and printed on the reversible ALS Liner Jacket. It is also interesting to note that the hem of the L-2B jacket is inspired by the asymmetric pattern used in hanok (traditional Korean house) architecture.

The IISE x Alpha Industries FW21 collaboration will be available on IISE’s website in Korea September 13 with a global release to follow September 27.
