Drake Reportedly Seen Filming New Music Video in Toronto

A video of Drake supposedly filming a new visual in Toronto has hit the internet, adding some support to DJ Akademiks‘ recent report that Certified Lover Boy will be dropping before April 2021.

The Instagram Story, which was shared on Twitter by Ak, shows a camera crew filming a lone car driving down the road and a man (who we can assume is Drake) performing in front of the camera. The quality of the video makes it difficult to confirm whether the person is actually Drizzy, but the text on the Instagram Story has the rapper’s Instagram account tagged, a location tag of Fort York and the caption “Look who’s in the neighborhood.”

In addition to sharing the clip, Ak tweeted that Drake informed him of a possible new video dropping some time this week. “Drake told me to sit tight n relax… he said that ‘Whats Next’ record is just a ‘warm up ting’. He’s working overtime creating this next masterpiece… CLB on da way… fr,” he wrote in one tweet. “He also told me he shooting some videos.. prollly drop something this week. The Goat is back. Aubrey Champagne Papi Drake Graham,” he continued, ending the series of tweets with confirmation that “the source is – The Boy.”

Just like Akademiks’ previous announcement, fans will have to take this new info with a grain of salt and just wait for an announcement from the OVO head himself.

Elsewhere in music, Lil Wayne announced that a new Young Money compilation album is in the works.
