Côte&ciel Contrasts Manmade and Nature for SS23

Bag-specialist côte&ciel has given a first look at its Spring/Summer 2023 collection, taking influence from the relationship between manmade and natural. A key reference point is the photography of JONK, who captures the ways in which nature has returned to manmade environments, with grass and plants growing through disused buildings.

This idea is shown in the collection through the mix of fabrics in côte&ciel’s Urban Exploration range, with EcoYarn used alongside the papery Komatsu Onibegie Nylon. This nylon comes in a color palette of green and black, further alluding to the themes of JONK’s work.

côte&ciel returns to some of its key styles — including the ISAR AIR — as well as introducing an all-new packable bag dubbed the ADDA PLUS. Another stand-out theme is the use of recycled leather for the first time.

In other fashion news, Vincent Alvarez recently debuted a new collaboration with Dickies.
