One of the most interesting aspects about fashion is that it doesn’t always make sense. One minute you could be reading about a wacky Big Yellow Boots Crocs collaboration and then the next moment you’ll see a brand like JW Anderson launch a new clutch bag that resembles the look of a frog. The untrained eye may not always understand the intentions behinds these types of launches, but one thing to note is that they’re going to keep fans engaged. And the next odd item to surface onto our radar is Bottega Veneta’s newest nearly-$10K USD Large Cabat bag.
If you were looking at this piece from a distance, you might think that it was just a big tote-shaped blob of bubble wrap. The exterior is constructed from a transparent silicone material and measures out to 51 cm in height, 45 cm in width and 20 cm in depth. Handles are devised with a dark brown lambskin and come prepared with brass finishes.
You can take a closer look at the made-in-Italy piece in the gallery above and note that it is available now via Bottega Veneta for an MSRP of $9,900 USD.
In case you missed it, Bottega Veneta recently launched $1,300 USD handmade beach bats.
