BLACKPINK Takes Over ‘Kimmel’ With Upbeat “Shut Down” Performance

A few days after dropping their long-awaited sophomore LP, Born Pink, K-pop girl group BLACKPINK headed to Jimmy Kimmel Live! The group delivered a high-energy rendition of the album cut “Shut Down” featuring the same choreography as the song’s music video.

Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé were joined onstage by a group of backup dancers for the vibrant and virtually seamless performance.

“Praying for my downfall, many have tried baby / Catch me when you hear my Lamborghini,” BLACKPINK sings in one English verse. “Go, vroom vroom vroom vroom.”

This isn’t the first BLACKPINK has linked with talk show host Kimmel. The YG Entertainment-repped group first appeared on the show two years ago while promoting their debut studio LP The Album.

Fast forward to the release of Born Pink, BLACKPINK is scheduled to tour the album worldwide, beginning next month with back-to-back shows in Seoul on October 15 and 16. Following those two events, the group will commence the North American leg of the tour on October 25, followed by a lengthy run throughout Europe, Asia and Australia and New Zealand.
