Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo told investors on Sunday that Apple is forecasted to launch a foldable iPhone by 2023, according to documents seen by Engadget and Mac Rumors.
According to the reports, Kuo told investors that based on an “industry study,” the phone would likely feature an 8-inch QHD+ flexible OLED display along with a silver nanowire touch solution supplied by Taiwan-based TPK. He added that he thinks the company would ship out 15-20 million units of the device in 2023.
Kuo predicts that foldable smartphones will become the “must-have” device for companies in the future, integrating the performance of a smartphone and tablet.
Apple has not commented on the reports.
