Dame Joan Collins, 88, has revealed that despite enjoying the “passionate” relationship she had with Hollywood star Warren Beatty, she wasn’t willing to agree to one of his requests in the bedroom. The former couple had a tumultuous two-year-long romance after falling in love when Joan was in her early 20s.

The duo became engaged in 1960 before parting ways shortly afterwards.

Dame Joan took the opportunity to speak out on a rumour that her former beau wanted sex seven times a day while they were dating.

Spilling on the speculation during an appearance on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, the Dynasty actress told the host: “He did(want that).

“I did not allow that.

“I said it felt like an oyster in a slot machine.”

Joan added: “It was quite a passionate relationship, it was quite demanding he was 22.”

The star went on to discuss when she fell pregnant after the couple got engaged.

Joan decided to terminate the pregnancy, as it wasn’t the right time for her to start a family due to her career commitments.

She explained to Piers: “I had an abortion, it would have been the death of my career.

“I was by then 26.”

Joan continued: “I hesitated but I realised that if I was going to have a child I was going to be able to bring the child up properly, and I believed very strongly that I’m in charge of my body.

“I was a feminist before the word was heard, and I should do, what I felt was right for me.

“It would have ruined my life. I didn’t have a tinge of regret.”

During their relationship, Beatty showed his devotion by writing several love letters to Joan.

In the letters, the Dick Tracy star told his then-fiancee about a recent photo shoot he did.

He also informed her about a friend’s barbecue where he ate “what looked like a three-pound steak.”

The actor also nicknamed her “bird” in the letters.

Despite their romance not working out, Joan still speaks fondly of Beatty.

She previously gushed: “His career was just starting when we met.

“We had a lot of fun together. I think he is wonderful.”

Joan married her fifth and current husband, producer Percy Gibson, in 2002 at a ceremony in London.
