James Argent showed off his two and a half stone weight loss as he enjoyed a fun-filled day at Thorpe Park in Surrey on Thursday.

Despite the heavy winds and drizzly weather, the TOWIE star looked in high spirits as he was joined by his good friend Dan Osborne and his seven year old son Teddy for a day at the adventure park.

James highlighted his newly slimline figure in a nearly all-black outfit, which he completed with a padded navy coat to shield himself from the chill.

The TV personality has lost a significant amount of weight after undergoing gastric band surgery as his weight crept up to 27 stone during lockdown.

James recently revealed his ex Lydia Bright has been supporting him through recovery.

Talking about his weight loss surgery on Loose Women, Arg said: "Lydia's been amazing, we're not together obviously, but we've known each other since we were teenagers so we're always going to be extremely close friends.

"I'm glad that I've got her back in my life as a friend. She's a close support, her and her mum Debbie who's amazing, she means the world to me."

Arg and Lydia were childhood sweethearts who had an on-off relationship that played out on TOWIE but finally drew to a close in 2016.

Explaining what Lydia has been doing for him, Arg said: "When I wake up in the morning I'm receiving messages, there's been FaceTimes, I've been going on walks… we've had some nice little catch-ups in the garden."

In the same interview, he added that he's beginning to "recognise himself in the mirror again" following his surgery.

"I'm going on long walks, I'm feeling happier, I'm feeling healthier," he explained, as he spoke via videolink from his back garden.

"I'm starting to feel like my old self again, and I think that I definitely made the right decision.

"This is really going to be a positive new chapter for me. I'm buzzing."
