Jake Wood has been forced to warn his fans that an Instagram fraudster pretending to be him is on the loose.
The actor, who is soon to leave long-serving Max Branning behind in EastEnders, is angry that the fraudster hasn't yet been hauled off the social media platform.
He has issued a warning to his followers, asking them to report the account as soon as possible.
The 48-year-old was livid after finding out the imposter was sending messages to people pretending to be him.

He shared a screenshot of the account, with the handle @mr_jakewood – and told fans to beware.
Some told the star that the person behind the profile had already been in touch with them.
The star wrote: "It has come to my attention that this cretin @mr_jakewood is messaging a lot of my followers pretending to be me. Please report & block. Thanks".

He has reached out to Instagram to try and do something about the fake account.
One fan wrote: "I had this too, my heart skipped a beat at the thought of you following me".
Another said: "Yer he messaged me."
It's tough enough for his fans at the moment as they brace themselves for his Albert Square exit.
However, Jake has hinted at a possible future return for much-loved Max.
Jake, 48, says he is "very pleased" BBC bosses aren't ruling out a return one day.
He opened up to Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain about his big exit in the weeks ahead and dropped a big hint.
Troubled Max won't be killed off – and that, he says, means anything is possible in the future.
He told Piers last month: "One of the security guys when I drove in last week said, 'Sorry to hear you're leaving, are you going in a cab or a coffin?'
"It’s not going to be a cab exactly but they’re leaving the door open so I’m very pleased for that."
Jake is trying his hand at directing after filming his final scene in December.
