Since they started their relationship on Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise, Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Dean Unglert have become one of the most solid relationships in The Bachelor franchise.
The two frequently travel together, adopted a dog, and recently moved into a house together. On Jan. 8, Miller-Keyes posted a Q&A with Unglert on her YouTube channel and the two revealed their favorite things about the other.
Do Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes plan to get married?
Unglert and Miller-Keyes wear commitment rings but are not currently married. Right now, Unglert and Miller-Keyes do not have plans to get engaged, but Unglert does have another way to show his commitment to Miller-Keyes.
In the Q&A on YouTube, Unglert revealed that he plans to change his last name from Unglert to his late mother’s maiden name, Bell. Unglert said that Miller-Keyes is also open to changing her last name to Bell and he has encouraged her to do so.
“We’ll get married at some point,” Miller-Keyes said.
She explained that she wants to have a small wedding with their families in Italy or Guatemala. Unglert then joked the two could get married in Antarctica. After having an intimate ceremony with family, Miller-Keyes wants to hold a party with friends in Los Angeles.
“Maybe like two years… 2023,” Miller-Keyes said about when she wants to marry Unglert.
“Nice, 2023. All right, December 2023, sure… we’ll have the conversation,” Unglert said.
Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller Keyes’ favorite things about each other
Miller-Keyes and Unglert have dated since 2019, and since their time on Bachelor in Paradise, their relationship has become beloved by fans of the franchise. In the Q&A, Miller-Keyes and Unglert were asked about what they loved most about the other person.
“My favorite thing about Dean is that… he is just the warmest person. I think everyone who meets him just loves him,” Miller-Keyes said. “He makes everyone feel very special… Even like phone conversations that he has, he’s just really good at asking questions and connecting and everyone just walks away feeling good about themselves…”
Miller-Keyes added that she also appreciates what a great parent Unglert is to their dog, Pappy.
“My favorite thing about Caelynn… Caelynn is very perceptive. I appreciate that a lot,” Unglert said. “I like to be like sarcastic and joke around about things and a lot of times people don’t pick up on that, but Caelynn does a really good job of picking up on the sarcasm… I think that was the biggest draw initially to why I wanted to get to know her more.”
Why their relationship is different than Dean Unglert’s past relationships
Before leaving Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise with Miller-Keyes, Unglert appeared on Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette, The Bachelor Winter Games, and Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise.
Compared to past relationships, Unglert thinks his relationship with Miller-Keyes has allowed him to be more open.
“I was at a point in my life where I was ready to be like just more honest with everything, my life, and who I was, and confront those demons within myself,” Unglert said. “I kept like just being honest and open… and the whole time every time I was doing those things… Caelynn always stuck around… the constant reinforcement that I could keep being myself was a very nice thing.”
