NEXT time you're the first one in the theme park, you might want to think again about which rides you go on first.
A theme park expert has revealed which rides they always wait until lunchtime to go on – especially when visiting on hotter days.
With a heatwave hitting the UK this week, a trip to a theme park might seem like the perfect way to enjoy the belated sunny weather.
While it will be 30C in some parts of the country, there are some clever ways to stay cool, especially while out at a fair.
Experts from AttractionTickets.com explained why the log flumes are the best rides to hit in the middle of the day.
They said: "Plan a trip to the water-based and flume rides during those mid-day and early afternoon hours when the sun is at its hottest.

"Luckily these kinds of rides feature across most of the major UK theme parks."
For inexperienced theme park visitors, the experts provided some examples of the UK's finest splash rides to cool off on this week.
They continued: "If you’re new to water-based rides, one thing is certain, you won’t stay dry!
"Cool off on rides like Ramese’s Revenge at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, drench yourself on the Tidal Wave ride at Thorpe Park, or the Congo River Rapids at Alton Towers."

The log flumes aren't the only way people can stay cool at theme parks during the heatwave.
The experts recommend bringing items along that will do the job for visitors when they aren't on rides.
They added: "Take preparation one step further, and bring a pocket fan on your trip.
"If you don’t want to miss out on even a moment in the sun, you wouldn’t be the first to pack a hand-held electric fan.
"Another favourite amongst seasoned theme park goers is the refillable spray bottle for bottomless cooling mist – your saving grace in those longer queues.
"Top it up at the water refilling stations and keep cool on-the-go all day long."
Finally, the experts recommend learning where all the shady spots are at the theme park after first arriving.
That way, guests can know where to shelter if it gets a bit too much.
They also pointed out some indoor areas that are perfect for hiding from the heat.
They said: "It can pay to be aware of the many shady spots where you can retreat to if you’re in need of a little respite from the sun.
"Luckily you’ll find lots of dedicated areas for this across the parks.
"Visit the indoor exhibitions at Sharkbait Reef by Sea Life at Alton Towers, or grab an ice-cream for a mid-afternoon pick me up whilst you seek out some leafy shade which is plentiful at Thorpe Park."
