The huge new UK attraction opening in 2025 with play areas, live shows and cafes – and it's right on the beach | The Sun

A HUGE new attraction is to open in the UK in 2025 – and it will be the second of its kind in the country.

Work on Eden Project Morecambe is to start, with hopes it will open in the next two years.

Originally called Eden Project North, it follows the success of the Eden Project in Cornwall which opened in 2001.

The £125million attraction was awarded £50m in the second round of the UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund earlier this year, allowing construction to start.

It will have four huge "shell-like" domes surrounded by outdoor gardens.

The Rhythm Machine dome will have a "hyper-real forest" with large installations and immersive theatre.

Bay Hall will be an exhibition area and meeting point for guests.

The attraction will also have play areas, three cafe-restaurants and a gift shop.

It will also have evening events throughout the year, with similar sessions at the Eden Project attracting famous names such as Elton John, Lionel Richie, Kylie Minogue.

The website states: "Eden Project Morecambe will be a destination that combines indoor and outdoor experiences, connecting people with the internationally-significant natural environment of Morecambe Bay while also enhancing wellbeing.

"Eden Project Morecambe will combine exhibits, performance, learning, play, immersive experiences, world-class horticulture, live music, art, food, beverage and retail spaces, all integrated as essential parts of the overall experience."

It hopes to attract as many as 750,000 guests a year.

Ticket prices are yet to be revealed, but non-ticket holders will be able to access some of the outdoor gardens.

Other plans include Eden Project Dundee, hoping to be the first of its kind in Scotland.

And there are lots of other exciting new attractions opening in the UK.
