A CRUISE ship worker has shared three tips that holidaymakers can use to make the most of their next voyage.
General manager Franck Gazly lives on board the Seven Seas Splendor and organises hundreds of passengers every day.
The cruise ship employee has been working and living on the seas for the last 20 years, and he's accumulated plenty of wisdom along the way.
In an article in Conde Nast Traveller, Franck revealed his top three tips that holidaymakers can use the next time they're on a cruise.
Where to go for the best view
For passengers looking to nab the best sunrise spot, Franck had some key advice for first-time cruisers.
He said: "The heart of the ship offers the best views."

While many guests may think the top deck will have unbeatable views, lower, more central, decks are actually you're best bet.
This is because guests can look out over the waterline and have a better chance of spotting marine wildlife.
The best packing tip
Grazly explained that passengers should carefully pack their clothes to avoid creases and wrinkles.
There are a lot of cruise ships that don't have irons or ironing boards, and charge hefty fees to have clothes laundered.

Instead of being out-of-pocket over a pressed-dress, it's best to make sure your clothes are good from the get-go.
As well as keeping clothes crease-free, Franck encouraged passengers to bring a good book on board for a lounge by the pool.
The best cruise ship excursion
Some cruise ship passengers have been known to skip onshore excursions but Franck knows there's one that shouldn't be missed.
He said: "Al-Khazneh, located in Petra, Jordan. I recommend arriving at the temple ‘Indiana Jones’ style – on horseback!"
For those passengers looking to sail into a scenic port, Franck recommends Bordeaux, while he rates Asia as one of the friendliest regions hes ever visited.
Meanwhile Austin Wells from San Diego paid $300,000 (£246,465) for a studio with a 12-year lease onboard the MV Narrative – a mega cruise ship with 500 private rooms and apartments.
Holidaymakers can also spend their time on a Disney cruise complete with an adult-only pool and live fireworks.
