Cheap UK breaks during the October half-term – holidays from £7pp a night | The Sun

FAMILIES with school-age children have one last chance at a proper staycation holiday before the Christmas season looms.

We found the cheapest breaks at kid-friendly places in October half term from £119 per stay, meaning a family of four can bag a holiday from just £7pp a night.

While the dates of school holidays and term times can vary depending on where you live, this year it is expected to start from October 17 until October 28.

However, it is always best to check with the school before booking.

For instance, schools in Leicestershire and Scotland have an early holiday structure, while the rest of England and Wales begin their breaks a week later, meaning the dates pupils return to school may differ.

Most holiday parks included give you access to indoor and outdoors swimming pools, sports, bike rentals, entertainment and on-site restaurants.

The biggest bargain we've found comes from Pontins, with four-night breaks costing from £119 per stay at the Brean Sands, Camber Sands, Prestatyn Sands and Southport parks.

The deal works out at just over £7 per person a night.

Haven holiday parks also has some good deals during the half-term, all under £300 per stay.
