Brits still can't travel to nearly 50 countries due to Covid rules – here is the full list

BRITS still can't travel to nearly 50 countries in the world, due to strict travel rules still in place.

The UK has lifted many of it's own travel rules, including scrapping the green and amber lists.

With only seven countries remaining on the red list, this means Brits can return from most destinations abroad.

However, this doesn't mean other countries are open to the UK as many still have their borders closed or are yet to welcome international tourists again.

This includes the US – yet to open to the UK, although is expected to next month – as well as Bulgaria, who put the UK on their own red list.

Thailand is also yet to fully welcome Brits back, although this will also be lifted next month.

Australia and New Zealand remain closed to the UK and are unlikely to reopen until next year.

The only countries on the UK's red list – which requires a 10-day hotel quarantine costing £2,285 per person – are Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, Peru, Venezuela.

The rest of the world is on the UK's 'open list, meaning fully vaccinated Brits can return to the country from them without having to quarantine.

Double jabbed Brits only need to take one test when returning to the country on day two, currently a PCR test, although this will be changed to a lateral flow later this month.
