A COUPLE have won a whopping £1million National Lottery jackpot – and it wasn't even the highlight of their week.
Christine and Nick Jane, from Launceston, Cornwall, were so shocked at their win last month that Christine literally fell out of bed after matching five main numbers and a Bonus Ball.
However, the love-up pair had something even better happen to them that week when they tied the knot after two years together.
The couple have called their big win "a sort of unplanned wedding gift from work".
Housewife Christine, 50, explained: "We hadn’t played The National Lottery in a fair few months before our win but, for some reason one of Nick’s work colleagues told him that we should buy a Lotto ticket that weekend.
"We got ourselves a Lucky Dip and here we are with a £1,000,000 win – a very generous wedding gift…of sorts!"

Recalling the stunning moment when she realised they were millionaires, she said: "It was the Sunday morning – the day after the Lotto draw – that I checked the winning numbers on my phone. I knew we had won something but didn’t register what so I woke my stepson up to check.
"I took the ticket to the local Spar to get them to run it through the National Lottery terminal and when the man behind the counter said, ‘Oh my God, you’ve won the lottery!’"
The whole family came round to celebrate, with one notable exception.
Poor old Nick, 55, was still at work when the amazing news came through.

His now-wife said: "We were all waiting for Nick to get home to tell him, rather than phoning him with this kind of news whilst he was driving! When he came in the door one of our daughters said, ‘Dad, what would you do with £1,000,000?’
"Nick obviously didn’t register the excitement and giggling because, rather than asking why he just said, ‘I don’t know?’. His face was a picture of confusion, shock and happiness as he was told, ‘well, you’re just won £1,000,000!"
A week later, the pair had a "magical" wedding and just about managed to keep the win secret from their guests.
They are now busily planning for how to spend their money.
The newlyweds have already bough a new van as an early Christmas present for Nick, while Christine is eyeing a trip to St Ives to swim with dolphins.
They are also looking to buy a new home and move out of their council house.
Lotto players can check their tickets online, on the National Lottery app or in the shop where the ticket was bought.
