Selena Gomez is changing up her looks, debuting her platinum blonde hair in a glamorous new selfie.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the “Lose You to Love Me” singer unveiled her new head of hair and simply declared in the caption, “Back to work.”
Selena, 28, also showed off her long black nails with flowers painted on them and her black flower string choker.
While this is the first photo of her new ‘do to hit her personal Instagram, she previously teased the makeover via the Rare Beauty account by posting a mirror selfie on April 23.

Among those applauding Selena’s new look was actress Diane Keaton, who spammed her with six red heart emojis, and her “Selfish Love” music collaborator DJ Snake, who commented with twinkling emojis.
Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri, the masterminds behind Selena’s new dye-job, revealed via their Nine Zero One Salon’s Instagram just how long the “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum sat in the chair.
“There’s LEVELS to this blonde,” the salon explained. “The entire process took 200 foils, several bowls of bleach, and 8 hours of hair magic!”
Capri and Lee have been doing Gomez’s hair for over a decade now.
“This blonde is unique to her as we had to make sure there was an equal balance of cool and warm for her skin tone,” Lee said in a statement shared with “GMA.” “It’s an edgier look and perfect for summer.”

“First, we highlighted every hair on her head with Joico’s Blonde Life lightening powder and 30 volume developer,” Capri said. “This processed for quite some time. After she lifted to a pale yellow we took the lightener off. We tapped down her root with Joico LumiShine Demi-Permanent Liquid 5NA with 5 Volume, then an all-over pre-tone with Joico LumiShine Demi-Permanent Liquid 8NW + 10NW equal parts with 5 Volume, and a second toner with Joico LumiShine Demi-Permanent Liquid 10V with 5 Volume.”
She continued, “To maintain this bright blonde tone and banish any brassiness at home, use Joico’s Color Balance Purple Shampoo every third time you wash. Pair with Joico’s Defy Damage Sleepover Overnight Nourishing Treatment for added protection and repair.”
This isn’t the first time Selena has gone blonde. In 2017, she previously sported golden-colored locks at the American Music Awards.
