Rihanna stepped out in style for her mom Monica Braithwaite’s birthday in NYC on Monday night, donning completely see-through pants for a celebratory dinner at Pastis.
She kept her look monochromatic, pairing the sheer brown Supriya Lele slacks with a Saint Laurent leather blazer and studded Bottega Veneta gloves ($670) in the same mocha hue.
The “Love on the Brain” hitmaker, 33, accessorized with a David Yurman gold chain and completed the look with a Fendi logo tote and the same white Attico slingbacks ($688) she wore with a different leather look in January.
A source told Page Six that Rihanna was “giddy” and “laughing” as she entered the Meatpacking District eatery, and arrived fashionably late around 10 p.m.
The nine-person party also included the superstar’s grandparents, Lionel and Clara Braithwaite, along with her brother, the insider added.
While Kourtney Kardashian also seems to be favoring pants with see-through paneling lately, Rihanna’s completely sheer version takes transparent trousers to a whole new level.
The Fenty mogul has been turning the world into her runway as of late, from sporting $15,000 feather pants while browsing a bookstore to wearing an $885 hoodie to dinner.
Perhaps keeping up with Rihanna’s recent style experiments will help distract her fans as they eagerly await new music from the singer, who hasn’t dropped an album in five years.
Although LVMH shut down her high-fashion Fenty line in February, the “Diamonds” singer is no doubt staying busy running her Savage X Fenty lingerie line, now valued at $1 billion.
It seems haircare offerings could be the next step for her beauty empire, building off the success of her Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin lines.
