John Geiger's GF-01 "Hand-Distressed Suede" Features Worn-In Details

John Geiger has revealed the latest GF-01 in his “The New Everydayz” program: a “Hand-Distressed Suede” style. “The New Everydayz” initiative was created to offer Geiger’s customers grab-and-go colorways that fit seamlessly into their sneaker rotations, so “Hand-Distressed Suede” represents a well-loved sneaker that the wearer doesn’t have to worry about getting dirty. However, it still boasts the luxurious construction associated with past iterations of the GF-01.

As the shoe’s name would indicate, its upper is crafted entirely of supple white suede with an intentionally tarnished dirty gray finish. A cursive G logo reaches from the midfoot to the heel, and laces are sullied as well. Down below, midsoles and outsoles are made of pristine white rubber, a jarring juxtaposition with the well-loved upper. The former is completed by an embossed GF-01 detail towards its heel and the latter boasts a repeating JG traction pattern.

The John Geiger GF-01 will release on the John Geiger Co. webstore Friday, April 9 at 12PM EDT. Its MSRP is set at a standard $200 USD.
