Queen Letizia and King Felipe have arrived in Denmark as part of a three-day official state visit, where the monarch was greeted with a deep curtsy from Princess Mary.

The royal couple touched down at Copenhagen Airport this afternoon, marking the beginning of their state visit stretching from November 6 to November 8.

Donning a dark green full length coat, Princess Mary received the Spanish royals upon on their arrival, along with Queen Margrethe of Denmark, Prince Frederik and Princess Benedikte.

Queen Letizia, 51, exited the plane wearing a stunning long cream coat and stilettos, which she paired with a dark red clutch bag and wore her hair in a sleek up-do to show off a pair of glitzy earrings.

The sophisticated ensemble marked a change from her equally-chic outfit seen before boarding her flight from Madrid – which included a lime green blazer, black oversized jacket and black chunky boots.

The Spanish royal couple then rode in a coach with Queen Margrethe from Kastellet to Amalienborg Castle in Copenhagen.

The three royals were seen smiling outside the castle after arriving by carriage before being pictured with Princess Mary and Prince Frederik. Queen Letizia was revealed to be wearing a flattering red knee-length a-line dress with a waistband.

Earlier today, Queen Letizia stepped out looking absolutely sublime during an official ceremony to mark her departure from the country.

The fashionable royal proved once again that she’s the queen of style as she donned a colour-blocking ensemble of all black and a pop of lime.

Her and husband King Felipe made their way from Madrid Airport to embark on their official state trip to Denmark.

The mother-of-two was the epitome of style in a tailored black wool coat, black cropped trousers and black chunky leather boots.

Perhaps the most eye-catching of her ensemble was a stunning neon green fabric blazer, which featured a v-neck cut and shining gold buttons emblazoned across the front.

The green blazer was cinched ever so slightly at the waist, and served to accentuate her already trim and shapely figure.

The former journalist oozed confidence as she made her way across the grounds in the smart-casual, yet practical look.

Her luscious locks were styled with a side part and neatly tucked away into a bun, while her sleek fringe swept across the front of her face.

For her make-up, she opted for a signature nude base, with just a touch of golden smokey eyeshadow and a smidge of black mascara.

She teamed the look with minimal jewellery, opting for three miniature silver hoop earrings and a silver ring to match.

For the occasion King Felipe donned a dapper black suit, which he matched with a crisp white shirt, a royal blue tie and black leather tie-up shoes.

The royals were all smiles as they made their way on to the steps of the plane just before departing the capital at Terminal T-4 at the Adolfo Suarez Madrid Barajas airport in Madrid.

The delightful couple were also photographed posing with officials and greeted all in attendance.
