NOW TV customers are being warned to check their bills ASAP after subscribers found a hidden charge.
Users of the Sky streaming service need to be aware that the £5 a month Boost package could have been automatically added to their account.
Boost allows subscribers to watch programmes in HD without advertisements on a number of different devices.
Unsuspecting consumers have complained after realising they were subscribing to the add-on when they checked their transaction history, MoneySavingExpect.com reports.
Confused Now TV users have been taking to social media to question why they are being charged extra.
One person said: "Why have I started being charged £5 for a Now TV 'Boost'?"

Another wrote: "Hello, I’ve only just noticed that I seem to have been being billed for something called 'Boost' on top of my Now TV subscription.
"I’m not sure what Boost is and I don’t remember subscribing to it."
Someone else said: "Just seen a charge for @NOW TV Boost on my bank account.
"I’ve actively avoided signing up for this extra charge that gets you basically nothing only to have Now sign me up without me knowing about it."

A spokesperson for Now TV said: "We know our members value the option to stream our content in HD and on multiple devices simultaneously.
"Therefore, at checkout, we wanted to offer this functionality to all members as quickly and easily as possible via our Boost membership."
The Sun has contacted Now TV for additional comment.
How to avoid the yearly £60 Boost fee
If gone unnoticed, the extra fee could add £60 a year to your bill.
At the early stages of signing up to Now TV, customers need to deselect the 'Boost' service.
If you don't untick the box, 'Boost' is automatically added to your account for an additional for £5 a month.
The cost will be added to the package you are signing up for if you don't actively remove yourself from subscribing.
If you are already an account holder and believe you may have accidentally signed up, log in to your account online.
Find "memberships and vouchers" in the drop down menu and look for Boost.
If it's listed, you will need to click "cancel membership".
You can access the service until the next bill is due at which point it will become inactive.
Customers who feel they have been disadvantaged due to this service should file a complaint.
