Experimenting in the bedroom can be a great way to spice up your sex life – but for some, kinky acts get taken too far.
A Daily Star reader wrote in to Jane O’Gorman to ask for advice on his girlfriend’s fetish.
He wrote: “My girlfriend loves role playing and sex games. But her themes have taken a darker turn of late.
“We’ve gone from good cop/bad cop to cruel medieval landowner and serf.
“I used to enjoy repressed boss and cheeky employee, but now it’s all powerful dominatrix and pathetic wimp.
“She’s always in charge and I’m getting a bit sick of being shouted at. I live in dread of her purring: 'Let’s make it an early one, tonight, babe.'"
He continued: “My blood freezes because I know I’ll be in for hours of humiliation.
“I draw the line at anything too kinky or painful, but worry about how far she’s going to take this.”
Thankfully, Jane was on hand to offer some advice to help the Daily Star reader to set some boundaries in their relationship.
JANE SAYS: A lot of people are bored with the monotony right now, but you are entitled to feel safe in your own home.
Clearly your girl has an appetite for the extreme, but she has to consider your limits too.
Speak to her away from the bedroom about your sex life. Whatever happened to light and shade?
Stand your ground before she totally overwhelms you and you begin to lose a sense of your own identity.
