Mould is an unwelcome problem in any home.

Usually produced in damp and humid conditions, it is a common predicament, but it can also harm your health, making it all the more important to get the issue resolved.

However, doing so can be tricky and expensive.

Thankfully, there are more economical ways to rid your house of mould.

Chantel told viewers that all you need is three ingredients: one cup of white vinegar, 20 drops of clove oil, and 20 drops of tea tree oil.

She said the acidity in the vinegar will banish mould spores, while the clove oil has anti-fungal properties and the tea tree oil prevents the mould returning.

Simply mix all of the ingredients together and add the mixture to a spray bottle before spritzing the infested area.

Leave it for 20 minutes and the mould should easily disappear.

Chantel demonstrated the hack for her followers by spraying an invested area and then scrubbing it with a brush.

Once finished, it was completely spotless.

Those in the comments were impressed with Chantel’s concoction, especially as it was all natural.

‘Finally. Someone who’s not recommending bleach,’ wrote one viewer.

‘Better than alternatives,’ added another.

Chantal also noted that the mixture can be used on walls other than in the bathroom. Tea tree oil and peppermint oil can be used too as they are both anti-fungals.

It is important to note that if you have mould in the home, it is always imperative to investigate why there is excess moisture.

For tougher and more infected areas, you may need to engage the services of a professional.
