Marks and Spencer divide shoppers over ‘god awful’ £39 spring dress

When it comes to shopping, there are so many ideas over what is stylish and what isn't – we all have different tastes, right? And with winter slowly ending, we are going to see lots of spring pieces popping up all over the high street.

Believe it or not we're already seeing lightweight jackets, new denim essentials and spring dresses on sale.

Well, there is one dress that has got a lot of shoppers talking recently for a few reasons and it's from much-loved high street retailer Marks and Spencer.

The brand took to their social media earlier this week to share a picture of a new-in item and sadly it got some very mixed reviews from shoppers.

M&S took to their Instagram account and posted a photo of a customer wearing their brand new purple floral dress — Florals? For Spring? Ground-breaking.

The brand captioned the image with: "Putting a *spring* in our step in florals!" and quickly had followers commenting their opinions.

One user said: "Stunning model, god awful dress.

A second Instagram user posted: "Even the stunning young lady wearing this cant pull it off .. sorry"

With another saying: "She looks like orphan Annie wearing someone else’s dress and boots . Who ever decides what is going in the stores must try harder!!"

However, it wasn't all negative feedback as there were also some positive comments.

A happy shopper commented: "Gorgeous! So easy to wear. Just waiting on the usual moans!"

As another person said: "Just bought this, I think it’s gorgeous."

A third followed by saying: "Love this espec the colours, Id pop a belt on and I think it would be perfect!"

Whichever way you might view the new design, we for one quite like it.

Not only are the bright colours refreshing but we love the puff sleeve detail and the tiered design. The price isn't too bad either.

So if you fancy snapping up this fabulous floral V-neck midi dress from Marks and Spencer's, then you can buy it here for just £39.50.
