Lizzo wants her fans and social media followers to know she has some happy — if totally fake — personal news to share. And it involves her celebrity crush, Chris Evans. In a hilarious TikTok video posted on July 27,the Grammy winner stands at a kitchen table as the “Captain America” theme plays in the background. “This is something that I’ve been really trying to keep personal and private just between me and the father of my child,” she begins, looking serious, “… but since we’re airing out all the rumors today,” she continues, before moving back from her phone, showing off her profile and sticking out her tummy (while giggling). “I’ve been sucking in!” she hollers. Lizzo then rubs her belly and yells, “We’re going to have a little America!” The silly clip was apparently inspired by a fan who messaged Lizzo to say, “we know your [pregnant emoji] and we know it’s Chris Evans now spill the tea.” The person was clearly teasing the singer about a post back in April where she admitted she’d drunkenly direct messaged Chris. “No shame in a drunk DM,” the star later replied. “God knows I’ve done worse on this app.”

With new music on the way, a Las Vegas residency rumored to be on the horizon and a new guy in her life, Adele, 33, is “relaxed” and “doing great,” a pair of insiders tell People. The singer, 33, spent some time out of the spotlight when her son, Angelo, now 8, was younger, and again around the time she split from her now ex-husband, Simon Konecki. After she was photographed at the NBA Finals with LeBron James’ agent Rich Paul, 40,earlier this month, an ESPN correspondent confirmed on a podcast that the two are an item — according to People, they’ve been seeing each other for “a few months. Since then, they’ve been spotted attending a handful of high-profile events and parties together. “It’s not super serious, but they’re having a good time. They have mutual friends in common, so that’s been nice. She’s having fun and being social,” a source tells the outlet in its latest issue, adding that she’s “not quite as private as when she was married.” Adele also has reason to make her way back into the spotlight in 2021. “[She has] new music that is ready to be released when she thinks the time is right,” says a friend of the singer. Meanwhile, the Sin City news and gossip blog reports she’s already signed a deal for a residency at the newly opened Resorts World that could starts as soon as January 2022. “She’s had a lot of change in her life,” adds the People source, “but she’s in a really good place.”

It’s been two decades since “Charlie’s Angels” star Lucy Liu reportedly defended herself when Bill Murray verbally “attacked” and she still has no regrets. In the July 27 edition of the “Asian Enough” podcast from the Los Angeles Times, Lucy alleged that Bill started to “hurl insults” at her during a rehearsal for the 2000 hit film. “Some of the language was inexcusable and unacceptable,” she said (via USA Today), explaining that one of his scenes had been changed when he wasn’t there. “I couldn’t believe that could be towards me, because what do I have to do with anything majorly important at that time? I literally do the look around my shoulder thing, like, ‘Who is he talking to behind me?'” she said. According to Lucy, she confronted her co-star and they proceeded to fight more. “I was not going to just sit there and take it. So, yes, I stood up for myself, and I don’t regret it,” she said. Recalling how her mother was often insulted with racist comments about their heritage when Lucy was growing up, she said as the person with the “least amount of privilege” on the set, she felt she had to defend herself. “No matter how low on the totem pole you may be or wherever you came from, there’s no need to condescend or to put other people down,” she said. “I would not stand down, and nor should I have.” As of July 28, neither Bill nor his reps had responded with a comment.

Bob Odenkirik rushed to hospital; David Cross, more stars share support and love
Bob Odenkirk was hospitalized on July 27 after collapsing on the set of “Better Call Saul,” the spin-off inspired by Bob’s “Breaking Bad” character, defense attorney Saul Goodman. Following TMZ’s initial report, both CNN and Reuters confirmed the star, 58, was rushed to a hospital near the New Mexico set. By late in the day on July 25, news had spread but little information had surfaced about Bob’s condition. Bob’s “Breaking Bad” costar Bryan Cranston said on Instagram he’d been “anxious all morning” about the incident, while another friend and former colleague, David Cross, wrote on Twitter, “I will share what I know when I can, but Bob is one of the strongest people I know both physically and spiritually. He WILL get through this.” Aaron Paul wrote directly to Bob after hearing the news, posting, “I love you my friend.” Bob’s “Better Call Saul” costar Michael McKean wrote, “Sending huge love to our @mrbobodenkirk. You got this, brother.” The two-time Emmy Award winner has been filming the sixth season of “Better Call Saul,” a show that’s earned him nine of his 16 Emmy nominations.

As Britney Spears’ new lawyer works to have her father removed from her conservatorship once and for all, Britney told Instagram followers this week she was feeling “overwhelmed,” but also “rebellious” and “colorful” as she worked through her stress by painting. Her former manager Sam Lutfi, meanwhile, has released what he says are voicemail recordings proving she’s wanted the conservatorship to end for more than a decade. In a series of four posts on Instagram, Sam — who’s been accused by Britney’s team and family of being, well, toxic for her –shared what he said were voicemails left on his phone by Britney in 2009. “I want out of this conservatorship,” a voice that sounds like hers says in the first clip. “I’ve been blackmailed by visitation with my babies by the conservatorship. I’m confined, restrained and stripped of my civil rights. And I demand the state of California to review this case because I feel it’s illegal.” A second post features what sounds like Britney saying she wants someone to communicates to the court, “that my father has threatened me several times, that you know, he’ll take my children away.” In the third, Britney says she wants a new legal team. (She finally got to hire her own lawyer this month after telling the judge her take on what she called an “abusive” arrangement that’s allowed her father to exploit her for his personal gain.) In the final post, Britney appears to be saying, “I’m being held against my will. I can’t exercise my constitutional rights.” Sam’s caption claims they are all from 2009; he told Page Six he’s shared them on social media before.
Mila Kunis regrets asking Ashotn Kutcher to skip his planned space trip
Self-professed Trekkie Mila Kunis says she now regrets having protested when Ashton Kutcher announced he’d gotten a ticket to travel to space. Ashton, who shares two kids with Mila, revealed last week that he had planned to go to space a la Jeff Bezos, but he and Mila had just started their family when it came time to go and — go figure — she was not into the idea of being left on Earth alone as a new mom. Now, Mila says she has since reconsidered asking Ashton to give up the ticket, which he ended up selling. “We get together nine years ago and he was like, ‘I have a ticket to go to space.’ I was like, ‘Oh, OK.’ I was like, ‘That’s fun, have fun,'” she told People this week (via JustJared). “Years goes by then all of a sudden we have a baby and he’s like, ‘I’m going into space.’ And I was like, ‘That’s irresponsible, you cannot have … This is not what you do. You are a father!'” she recalled. “I was all so hormonal and I was like, ‘You can’t, you’re going to die. The thing’s going to explode and you’re going to die — and you’re going to leave me with the babies.'” The actress went on to say Ashton, “being the sweet man he was,” sold the ticket. “I know I hate it,” she said, looking back on her decision in hindsight. “Also I’m such a [Trekkie]. The fact that I didn’t let him go into space was so selfish of me, but I was a new mom and I was like, ‘You can’t leave me and the babies.’ And so that’s where that decision was made out of.” Mila added: “I want everybody to know I probably would have let him to go to space now, but now it’s too late.”
DaBaby apologizes for anti-gay remarks after defending them
On July 27 — after being condemned by Dua Lipa — DaBaby posted a semi-apology for anti-gay comments he made at the Rolling Loud Festival that included misinformation about HIV and AIDS. Onstage in Miami over the weekend, the rapper said, in part, “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up.” Things got more offensive from there, sparking widespread outrage from social media users including Dua and Elton John. “We’ve been shocked to read about the HIV misinformation and homophobic statements made at a recent DaBaby show. This fuels stigma and discrimination and is the opposite of what our world needs to fight the AIDS epidemic,” Elton tweeted (via BuzzFeed). He then shared a series of facts about HIV and AIDS. “HIV has affected over 70 million people globally: men, women, children and the most vulnerable people in our communities,” he wrote in one tweet. Dua chimed in to say she was “horrified” by DaBaby’s comments and didn’t “recognize” him as the person she worked with. Eventually, the rapper responded on Twitter. “Anybody who done ever been effected [sic] by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset, what I said was insensitive even though I have no intentions on offending anybody. So my apologies,” he wrote. “But the LGBT community… I ain’t trippin on y’all, do you. y’all business is y’all business.” The apology came after he initially defended himself on Instagram Live, saying his remarks weren’t “a rant” but “a call to action.”
