Joe Biden, 78, was announced as the new President of the US in November with the inauguration set to take place today. Starting his career working as a law clerk, the new President now has an eye-watering net worth.
Before running for President, Joe had a long career in politics in which he started work at a young age.

CelebrityNetWorth details how the politician earned £150,000 in 2018 for one speech at Drew University in New Jersey.
In total, he gave 40 speeches from 2017 to 2018, adding to his bank balance.
After Joe left the office of the Vice Presidency, the politician and his wife Jill signed a three-book deal.
It was said to be worth £6million.
After writing Promise Me, Dad, which was a book about his son’s death, the politician promoted his book with a tour where he made over 40 stops.
Basic tickets cost £15 while the VIP tickets, which included a photo with Joe himself, were priced at £300.
On top of the book sales and money from tour tickets, he also received more than £60,000 in royalties and audio rights.
Joe has also made his tax documents available, with the earliest records from him released in 1998.
During this year, he earned a total of nearly £200,000 which stayed consistent until 2009 where it raised by £40,000.
