Given his hedonistic lifestyle and the wild parties inside the Playboy Mansion, you may be mistaken for assuming that Hugh Hefner fathered more children than he did.
But after his death in 2017, the lad mag titan’s Playboy media empire was left to his four spouses, three boys and one girl.
They are all now adults who lead contrastive lives – and here we take a look at what each of them went on to do.

Marston Hefner
Perhaps the most colourful character of the bunch is Marston Hefner, the notorious son of the famous mogul. He was born in 1990 and his mother is former Playmate of the Year, Kimberley Conrad, who was married to Hef for nine years.
Marston, 33, spent his first few years growing up in the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles and he later inherited his father’s fondness for “bunnies”.
And like his dad, he hooked up with a former Playmate of the Year, Clair Sinclair, but the relationship soured in 2012 when Marston was arrested for allegedly attacking her, according to TMZ. They reported that he was released on a $20,000 bail after a source told them that Clair had been punched and kicked in the stomach.
But unlike his old man, Marston forged his own career as a writer and he is the author of a book called High School Romance. He describes himself as a “writer and gamer” on Twitter.
He married Anna Lambropoulos in 2022 – and the geeky bloke was ushered to the altar in a boat to the Pirates of the Caribbean theme tune. But while the pair seem to be madly in love, Anna was not best pleased with Marson’s latest career move.
He launched an OnlyFans page, which apparently didn't go down well with everyone. Speaking to Page Six, he said: “She would rather me not be on OnlyFans, but what’s more important to her is me pursuing my dreams or my interests – taking risks.”
In his bio, where people can subscribe for free, he refers to himself as “bisexual AF”. And one of the reasons he is making money on the platform is to be able to afford his own Pokémon Trophy card.
As for how it impacts his relationship, he added: “It’s a long-term avenue for further financial security. If she wanted to do an open relationship, we’ll talk about it. If she wanted to do anything sexual, that’s a conversation that we have no matter what, and we are always having it.
“I think we grew up with parents who, like, maybe the father could stray, or it was more acceptable for the male to do whatever they want. That’s not… I don’t believe in that.”
Marson and Anna became first time parents earlier this year with the birth of their son, Forest Glenn Hefner. Speaking to People, the proud new dad said: “I always wanted to be a parent, and I just never found the person who felt right for me or who wanted to do it with me, for the long term. Now I feel like I’m really in that Hollywood romance stage of things.”
Christie Hefner
Marston’s half-sister is Christie Hefner – who is Hugh’s only daughter who had a different upbringing to her brother. Her mum was Mildred Williams who was Hugh’s childhood sweetheart and they married back in 1949 before separating when their little girl was five.
Christie moved with her mum to Illinois and she later graduated university with a bachelor’s degree in English and American literature.
But she made her dad even prouder in 1982 after becoming president of Playboy Enterprises at the tender age of 29 before being named CEO six years later.
Although in 2009, one year after the election of Barack Obama, she ditched Playboy after 27 years. At the time she said: “Just as this country is embracing change in the form of new leadership, I have decided that now is the time to make changes in my own life as well.”
Unlike Marston, she has kept a low public profile. But earlier this year, she gave a TedxFargo talk and she also spoke about her accomplished career in business with Inforum.
And asked whether Playboy empowered or harmed women, the 70-year-old said: “I feel like it has been an ally to women in the women’s movement. And the readers of the magazine were actually very progressive about women’s issues, whether it was ERA (the Equal Rights Amendment) or reproductive rights.
“And I think if you ask them, their attitude was that they could both admire women and desire them. So, they were not of that view, you know, if you thought someone was sexy or beautiful, that somehow meant that she couldn’t also be smart and accomplished.”
Cooper Hefner
Cooper is another son of Hugh Hefner and Kimberley Conrad. He is a 32-year-old father-of-three who has already had a varied career.
Similar to Christie, he also got a college education and graduated Chapman University with a bachelor’s degree before going on to work at Playboy Enterprises as chief creative officer.
He also grew up in the Playboy Mansion alongside brother Marston but he went on to work in different fields.
Just four years ago he enlisted in the United States Air Force – the same year he married British Harry Potter actress Scarlett Byrne who played Pansy Parkinson.
One year later the pair, who have been together for ten years, became parents to a baby girl and in 2021 they then welcomed twin daughters.
The businessman, who has started his own media startup company called Hop, has 112,000 followers on Instagram where he often shares pictures of his family.
