Injuries and suspensions update of Dream Team Game Week 6

DREAM TEAM brings all you all the latest injury and suspensions news ahead of Game Week 6 in the form of one convenient whistle-stop tour.

Thomas Tuchel has revealed that Edouard Mendy (£4.6m) – owned by 16.6% of Dream Team bosses – will start against Manchester City in Saturday’s repeat of the Champions League final.

However, Mason Mount (£4.2m) will sit out after picking up a ‘minor injury’ against Aston Villa in midweek but it doesn’t sound like a long-term problem.

Pep Guardiola kept his cards close to his chest when asked about City’s five doubts: John Stones (£4.0m), Aymeric Laporte (£4.2m), Ilkay Gundogan (£3.9m), Oleksandr Zinchenko (3.3m) and Rodri (£3.2m).

“Not all of them [are in contention],” the Catalan tactician told reporters. “Some of them come back a little bit to training today, we will see tomorrow how they react.”

Michail Antonio (£4.4m) is set to return for West Ham this weekend having served his suspension.

Assistant coach Stuart Pearce confirmed that the bullish forward could have featured against Man United in midweek but simply rested ahead of the Hammers trip to Elland Road this Saturday.

Leeds will be without several key players for that fixture with their injury crisis extending to their most-popular Dream Team assets.

Patrick Bamford (£3.8m) has been ruled out with a late decision to be made on first-choice wingers Raphinha (£3.0m) and Jack Harrison (£3.2m) – Luke Ayling (£2.1m) is also a doubt.

Edinson Cavani (£4.4m) is ‘ready’ to play for Manchester United if required but the Uruguayan poacher’s status at Old Trafford is unclear – Cristiano Ronaldo (£7.8m) is very much the main man these days.

Graham Potter was ‘delighted’ to give Tariq Lamptey (£2.1m) 45 minutes against Swansea in midweek but stressed he would not rush the promising right-back into the starting line-up.

Brighton’s boss is also hopeful that key midfielder Yves Bissouma (£2.1m) will be available for Monday’s tasty meeting with Crystal Palace.

Leon Bailey (£3.1m) caught the eye during Aston Villa’s 3-0 win over Everton in Game Week 5 but won’t feature again until after the international break after picking up a muscle strain.

In compensation, John McGinn (£2.7m) is available to for selection this weekend with the Villains travelling to Old Trafford.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.0m) should return for Liverpool against Brentford on Saturday – the Anfield favourite was the best defender Dream Team had to offer before he was sidelined with illness.

However, Jurgen Klopp said there was ‘no chance’ Thiago Alcantara (£2.1m) would feature and revealed Naby Keita (£1.5m) is also out ‘for sure’ leaving the Reds a little light in midfield.

Nuno Espirito Santo has stated that Steven Bergwijn (£1.7m) and Ryan Sessegnon (£1.6m) are ‘not okay’ but Lucas Moura has rejoined the squad ahead of the north London derby.

Jordan Pickford (£2.4m) and Lucas Digne (£3.0m) have trained with Everton’s first team but it’s not entirely clear whether or not they are ready to start – Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.7m) is definitely not available.

Richarlison (£3.8m) should be fit after the international break.
